Roldunne Mendoza and Aj Winkler
Roldunne Mendoza created quite a stir when from out of the blue in early months of 2007, his name and pictures circulated in magazines and in the internet that he will be the next Phillipinne rep for Manhunt International 2007. It was not a smooth sailing for Roldunne. Some raised their eyebrows, others dismissed the idea by just a shrug of their shoulder. If you read pageant forums, almost 70 % stated Roldunne is just too thin for comfort ... let alone compete in an international arena.
Whoever did put a "imprimatur" stamp on Roldunne's selection is beyond everyone's imagination. When Roldunne went to China, to everybody's surprise he did a decent dent in the contest, not a big one ... but at least he made a good impression. He was chosen as one of the Best Ramp models and he has proven his critics wrong. He is back in PI after the contest. He did some modelling here and there and some Tv guestings. As they say, nobody can put a good man down!
